Royal Caribbean’s Splendour Of The Seas
Splendour of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean’s Vision Class ships. This class of ship is noted for their size and first class accommodations. Making its maiden voyage in March of 1996 this mammoth vacation liner is eight hundred and sixty seven feet in length. The thousands of windows afford passengers breathtaking views of the ocean and ports of call.
If boredom should happen to be one of your concerns, be advised that a two week cruise is not enough time to sample all that is offered. New friends will gather for a boisterous game of basketball. Others will try the challenges of rock climbing. The spas offer opulent comfort with body massages and whirlpools. Both indoor and outdoor pools are available for taking advantage of swimming in any weather.
The University of Miami ocean lab offers a state of the atmospheric and oceanographic science lab. Geared to science buffs and the younger traveler, anyone can be amazed at what is to be found here. Curiosity seekers will be glad they stumbled upon this wonder.
The main dining room, delightfully named The King and I, offers the palette a culinary feast of many offerings. Chicken, beef, veal, seafood, and pasta all abound and are exquisitely served. If the appetite calls for something a bit less indulgent, the Windjammer has a full buffet unparalleled in its offerings. The younger set may wish to try the pizza and sandwiches offered at the Cafe Promenade. Food and room service is offered twenty four hours a day.
The entertainment offered will have people thinking they have been transported to New York City and Broadway. Members of the cast exude talent and the lightening is comparable to the finest theaters. The Casino crowd can revel in games of chance. Craps, blackjack, roulette, and poker are just a sampling of the many games offered. Different areas of the ship offer bands for your dancing pleasure, while others may wish to be amused by the antics of a comedian or the illusions of a magician.
Just because you are at sea does not mean that your accommodations shouldn’t offer the comforts of home. There are interior and ocean view staterooms and some have balcony’s. Top of the line luxury suites with full size balcony’s are the equivalent of a small penthouse. Amenities include television, telephone, showers, private baths, and vanities and this is only the top of the list.
If taking a cruise has been a lifelong dream, indulge yourself. Place your reservation and begin the experience of a lifetime. Bon Voyage!!
