Gambling Freedom In 60 Days Day One
The reason you signed up for a 60 day program was likely because gambling has caused you severe financial harm. So your first goal should be to be constantly aware of this damage happening again. Key Point #1 – Say to yourself: Gambling has caused me financial pain, it has in the past and it will in the future. On day two you will be asked-did you stay clean from gambling since your last session? I will also ask you if you have started to reach out to make new non gambling friends. If you gamble online you also need to make new friends. You need something different to do other than gamble. Most gamblers want financial gain. The best writing on financial gain ever was written in the book of Proverbs in the Bible. The person with the most wisdom ever wrote it. Not only will it help your finances but it will give you insights on how to fix your life overall. Read one chapter of Proverbs every day. Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. (Ecclesiastes 5:10, NIV) What purpose did God create you for? Think about this and pray about this. What new activities will you start this week to replace gambling? I kept this first session short. If you are under severe temptation today please read my article Quitting gambling to get you through today. Repeat this statement twice each day : -This temptation will go away if I don’t act on it. If I give in it will return and it may be even stronger next time. If I don’t give in it will go away and someday it will go away for good. I have the self control to change-. For Christians – we were created to worship God. So one of our main motivations for quitting should be so that we can worship Him through clean activities and Christian service instead of wasting our time gambling. Try to find 10 reasons to praise the Lord today. Make this a habit. This free quitting gambling program can be found at my website with the link below.
