Grand Borgata Casino At Atlantic City

Gambling is a big business, but it’s not always a welcome one. Due to bans on gambling, other than small casinos on Indian land throughout the US, there aren’t really any serious gambling centers except for three. Two of them are Connecticut, which hosts Foxwoods Casino and Mohegan Sun, Nevada, which is, of course, home to Las Vegas, the US gambling center and, arguably, the world’s gambling center. The third is, of course, New Jersey, home to Atlantic City.

Atlantic City has always been a great place for tourists. The boardwalk and the marina area, as well as the cool weather, have always been a draw. When casinos started to be build in Atlantic City, though, tourism rates increased by leaps and bounds.

The Borgata:

The latest of the many Atlantic City casinos is called the Borgata. It was first opened in 2003 and, as the newest Atlantic City casino, it quickly gained a massive fan club. Even in the short time it has been open, it has already been renovated and expanded twice to better accommodate the hordes of gamblers who travel to it each year. The first time was in 2005 and the second was in 2008.

Hotel Rooms at the Borgata:

Another great thing about the Borgata is the dcor. The hotel area is done up with a wonderful Tuscany design and there are many different room types to choose from. They include the classic, opus, piatto and fiore designs. So, there’s a room for anyone’s needs and tastes.

Borgata Gambling:

Then there’s the Borgata gambling scene, which is, after all, the main reason that most people come to the casino. Comfort while playing is a prime concern. Many of the over 4,100 slot machines feature comfy, plush seating. So, you can play for as long as you like without fear of being stiff or sore.

Of course, the casino features more than just slot machines. There are also over 200 gaming tables where players of all skill levels can enjoy various game. Blackjack is just one of those games.

Poker at the Borgata:

There are also around 85 poker tables at the Borgata. That’s more than most other casinos. Many of them are for Texas Holdem games at various stakes levels. There are other poker versions played there as well, though. Not only that, but World Poker Tours and other major tournaments are held at the Borgata on a fairly regular basis.

Dining and Shopping at the Borgata:

Finally, there’s dining and shopping to think about. The Borgata houses over a dozen restaurants. They range from Italian to Asian to American and almost everything in between. So, guests can easily find foods that they love at the Bobby Flay Steakhouse and other restaurants. There are also many shopping boutiques in the Borgata, including the Whims, Carina, and Borgata Collection. So, between those and the other attractions, like shows and spas, it’s clear that the Borgata is a great place to go for any vacationer, especially a gambler.
