Basic Online Roulette Strategy
Online roulette is something that many gamblers have been waiting for so long. Indeed, you don’t need to make yourself resemble James Bond when you simply want to enjoy the spin, because it’s a virtual casino. Novice gamblers also appreciate the abundance of online casinos, as many of them have never even dared to approach a house. To enjoy the game, roulette beginners must learn the rules and then spend some time choosing the strategy that suits their preferences and of course their budget.
Probably the most prominent strategies that are applicable to both traditional and online roulettes, are Martingales, D’Alembert and Labouchere betting systems. All three strategies are primarily associated with outside bets. The first two are based on the idea that after every loss bets should be increased, while after every winning spin the player must reduce the bet. When the Labouchere betting system is used, one must write down a sequence of numbers. Each bet will be equal to a sum of the first and the last number in that row. When the bet wins the numbers are crossed. The main purpose of these strategies is to make you win in the long run, because all losses are supposed to be covered by winnings. They are supposed to, but will it really happen? The problem is that many players run out of their bankroll before they get the chance to finally leave the table being at least a few quid up.
These strategies are not perfect, but are still extremely popular with online roulette players. There is also a group of strategies that use formulae to predict the outcome of each spin. But we strictly recommend against using (or even worse, buying) them, as many of them are scams of the first water. If the casino is fair, the software they use is just a beautifully arranged RNG – random number generator. This means you can’t predict anything and be sure that your bet will win.
But don’t give up just yet. Online roulette is a game of chance, thus you have a chance of winning. So the best strategy for every roulette player is to find ways of boosting their chances. Here’s what you can do.
Just compare the house edge for European and American roulette – it’s 2,7% vs. 5,26%. Obviously, if you play the second one, you reduce your own chances of winning. Same way straight up bets have the worst odds on the table. As you have a very small chance of guessing the number the payouts are impressive. Outside bets have smaller payouts, but they also give you a better chance of winning, so play outside the number grid.
Look out for La Partage and En Prison rules. They are quite common for European versions of the roulette game and nicely lower the house edge to 1, 35%.
You never know, one day you may invent your own perfect winning strategy. First you’ll check it using the free roulette online and then become a millionaire. However you can start with proper bankroll management and choosing options that inevitably increase your chances of winning.
