Get To Know The Basics Of Blackjack
Blackjack is one of the commonly and widely played casino games. It is played by thousands of people, both in actual casinos and online. If you have always wanted to play blackjack but did not because you don’t know how then first thing you need to know is that it is a straightforward and simple game. Get to know the basic blackjack rules here. In blackjack other players at the table are not your competitors. Instead, you play against a dealer. The only condition to win the game is that you should have a hand equal to or upto 21 and higher than the dealers hand. You lose the game if the total of your cards crosses 21. The value of your hand is calculated by adding up the values of your cards in hand. The Kings, Queens, and Jacks all carry ten points each. Aces carry one or eleven points and you can choose whichever benefits you more. Cards that are numbered anywhere between two to ten are worth their respective numbers. The two-card hand of 21 points is considered to be the best hand in blackjack when one of those two cards is an Ace and the other is thus worth ten points.
Once the players have placed their bets the game begins. Every player is required to place the bet before the cards are dealt. On having the bet placed by every player the dealer deals the cards. Every player is given two cards face-up. Unlike the player’s cards the dealer get one card face-up and the another one face-down. The players are then required to decide whether they want to stand or hit. Of course it makes complete sense to hit if the total of the cards in hand is quite low. Don’t forget to be careful, though, because if your hand total exceeds 21, then you automatically lose. If you feel that you cannot possibly improve the total of your cards by hitting and there is higher risk in hitting you should simply stand. Then the dealer turns over his other card. Commonly every casino has a blackjack rule requiring the dealer to hit if the total of his cards is less than 16. If your cards do not exceed 21 and are higher than that of the dealer’s, you are paid 1:1. On winning outright with a blackjack you are entitled to a payment in the proportions of 3:2.
