The Problem With Live Casino Blackjack, Baccarat And Roulette

Live casinos have been hailed as the next big thing in online gambling for some time now. It’s a platform that combines the convenience of being able to play blackjack, baccarat and roulette from your PC, with the peace of mind that the deal is not reliant on a random number generator (“RNG”) to dictate game outcomes.

In principle the offering is an enticing one. Unlike traditional RNG online casino games where a computer dictates event outcomes, live casino games offer a real human dealer dealing real cards, or tossing a real ball into an actual roulette wheel all viewed over a live webcast. With a reasonably fast internet connection, the smoothness and clarity of vision at most offering casinos is impressive, as are the bet interfaces that the vision is delivered through.

That is of course if you have a reasonable connection. And this leads us to the main contention of this article. This platform is not without its shortcomings, and being aware of them may temper any disappointments you may otherwise have trying any live casino games out for the first time.

As intimated above, one of the key problems many players may encounter with live gaming is problems with the vision. Remember, the vision is live and not an mpeg that you play once loaded. While the platform providers spruik their fantastic video streaming technologies and file compression capabilities with patents pending and a whole list of other wonderful claims, what you will find is that in the end the web-cast is only as good as the connection speed supporting it. If you are on a dial up connection, forget it. Even if your connection speed is reasonable, don’t expect uninterrupted vision at all times.

What you will also find, is that vision quality from certain platform providers is far from impressive. The spinning roulette wheel is an amorphous blur until it finally stops and the card deals in blackjack and baccarat are more like a series of low resolution freeze frames. To be fair, this is not the norm though and with a fast connection vision quality from most providers is pretty good – in some cases very impressive.

Are you an impatient gambler who can’t stand a slow game? If so this may not be your ideal game format. Unlike in RNG casino games, where you can call the deal in most instances and control game speed, live games are a little different. While you are viewing a single dealer, he or she is dealing to a number of players and must allow ample time for all bets to be placed and hit/stand/double/split decisions to be made in blackjack. In fact, this time is fixed according to the casino’s (platform provider’s) game set up and can be anywhere from 15 to 40 seconds between deals/bet decisions.

Imagine playing a live blackjack game in multi-play format with 7 players at the table. You are give 40 seconds to place your bets. Then, each player is given a further 30 seconds to play their hand. If all players take their full time allotted to play their hand, by the time the last player is reached it’s almost 4 minutes since conclusion of the last hand. Now this is an extreme case but you get the idea. Live gaming can be slow.

Fortunately for impatient players not all live games will have full multi-play tables. Some don’t offer multi-play and have a 15 second count between bets – but this is the exception rather than the norm.

The Pride Of Gambling For New Zealand

The pride of gambling for New Zealand

I had been thinking about retiring for a while and had spoken to my good friends at Christmas about the thoughts of retiring. I know it is usually a bit odd at the timing of my retirement ahead of the World Twenty20 but I have had plenty of Red Bull Cap New Era agonising hours deciding when it was right. I know in my heart before the World Cup that it was time. I thoroughly enjoyed the World Cup and I always wanted to retire on a high note and I feel I have done that. There is a new era of young talented White Ferns that I know continues to represent our country with huge pride and passion. I know they will continue doing well. I are following the girls’ journey,/p>

One reason for my decision to retire was losing earnings for us while we are on tour. It is a lot of work to balance full time teaching and fulltime cricket. If I was paid I would still be playing. It is hard to keep the balance and I know it has been my choice for the past few years and I certainly did not play for money, I played because I am hugely enthusiastic about cricket and my country. good thing in the women’s game is that the playing programme for the women has grown but there is far more of a time commitment now in order to prepare for those tours and I suppose the loss of earnings on tour did come into account in my decision to retire. It is not the reason why but certainly a part of the reason,/p>

I have adequately enjoyed my cricketing journey. I have been apart of a Timaru Girls High School team that won the nation’s secondary school title in New Zealand, I have been New Era Caps Deutschland apart of the huge history of successful State championships with Canterbury. I have played for my country for 10 many captained out great nation, I have been a portion of the winning World Cup team in 2000 and I have played alongside some amazing Kiwis. Not to mention I have met some amazing people from across the country and made friendships I know will last forever. I have learnt a lot at my playing days, Have had fantastic success, Gutwrenching losses, Been coached by brilliant coaches and I know all my opinions have shaped me in becoming the person I am today. I would never change anything I have observed,/p>

looking ahead to New Zealand women’s cricket’s future, I think there are three players the world should be shopping for. not only are they all outstanding allrounders but they all are fantastic ambassadors for our country. may well Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine coupled with Lucy Doolan. All talented and skilled in their own right and I believe they all will be highly ranked players in the world,/p>

And you can be assured this is not the last you will see of me in the cricketing scene. I will carry on doing some coaching here in New Zealand and I want to get my Level 3 coaching certificate. Maybe you might see me behind a microphone at future tourneys. I would be likely to love to be involved in some way in the future and still continue to help raise the women’s profile as the women’s game is worth investing time into,/p>

When I was a paperboy back in Timaru I met a man at the mountaiview village that knew a few things about cricket. He went on new era sale to show me a picture posing with a considerable amount of young female cricketers, personally included. Turns out he coached Timaru Girls High to many national tital wins and, Though his name escapes me now, His pride when speaking about you gave me the desire to help womens sports players get nice, money wise and through media coverage that they deserve. Lets hope these inequalities redefine soon. Well done on a terrific career, Reading these comments will hopefully open peoples eyes to incredible talent out there,/p>
